Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information BaringaSoft LLC ("we," "us," or "BaringaSoft") collects, how we use it, and what we don't do with it. It applies to the BaringaSoft Pulse desktop application and the baringasoft.com website.

1. Data You Store in the App

All data you enter into BaringaSoft Pulse — client names, case notes, deadlines, contact information, checklists, documents, and anything else — is stored exclusively on your local machine in an encrypted database (SQLCipher, AES-256 encryption).

BaringaSoft cannot see, access, read, or retrieve any of this data. We have no servers that receive it, no employees who can access it, and no technical mechanism to do so. Your caseload data is yours and yours alone.

Because your data never leaves your device, you are solely responsible for:

• Keeping your password and recovery key safe
• Maintaining your own backups (the app provides backup tools to help with this)
• Ensuring your device is physically and digitally secure

2. Network Activity

BaringaSoft Pulse is an offline-first application. It makes no background network requests and transmits no client data of any kind. The only network activity the app performs is:

• License activation: When you enter a license key, the app sends that key to LemonSqueezy's API to verify and activate it. No client data is included in this request — only the license key and a machine identifier.
• Update check (optional): If you choose to enable update notifications, the app checks for new versions. This check sends no personal information — only the current app version number.

There is no analytics, no crash reporting, no telemetry, and no advertising of any kind built into the Software.

3. Payment Information

Payments are processed by LemonSqueezy, who serves as the Merchant of Record for all BaringaSoft Pulse purchases. When you buy a license, your payment information (card number, billing address, etc.) is collected and handled by LemonSqueezy — not by us.

We receive from LemonSqueezy only what's necessary to fulfill your order: your email address, your license key, and your order number. We use this to send your license key, respond to support requests, and process refunds if needed.

We do not store your payment card information. LemonSqueezy's Privacy Policy governs how they handle your payment data.

4. This Website

The baringasoft.com website is a static site hosted on Vercel. Vercel may collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type, referring URL, pages visited) as part of normal web hosting. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other third-party tracking on this site.

If you submit your email address via the mailing list signup form on this site, that address is stored by our email service provider and used only to send you product updates and release notes. You can unsubscribe at any time.

5. Email Communications

If you contact us at baringasoft@tuta.com, we'll use your email address to respond to your inquiry. We don't add support correspondents to any mailing list without their consent, and we don't share your email with third parties.

6. You Are the Data Controller

Because BaringaSoft Pulse stores all data locally and BaringaSoft has no access to it, you — not BaringaSoft — are the data controller for any personal information you store in the app, including information about your clients.

This means compliance with data protection laws (HIPAA, state privacy regulations, your organization's policies) is your responsibility. BaringaSoft Pulse's architecture is designed to support privacy best practices — local storage, strong encryption, no cloud transmission — but software alone cannot guarantee regulatory compliance. That depends on how you use it, how you secure your device, and your organization's policies and procedures.

We recommend reviewing your organization's data governance policies before storing sensitive client information in any software tool.

7. Children's Privacy

BaringaSoft Pulse is a professional software tool intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We'll make reasonable efforts to notify active users of any significant changes. Continued use of the Software or website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
